    Event Description:
    This Special Food Distribution is largely composed of TEFAP, and the other portions furnished are from the FBENM warehouse. TEFAP is the Federal program that helps provide food assistance to low-income households.
    This Special Food Distribution is open to qualified individuals living in the Portales area who are not currently being served through any other mobile food distribution site. All new clients will be asked to fill out an income eligibility form required by The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).
    On Monday, July 28 the doors will open at 1:00 p.m. sharp.
    The Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico is currently looking for new partner agencies in Portales, these community partners will aid the Food Bank in the fulfillment of our vision and mission; to feed food insecure families in the counties we serve.
    The Food Bank operates as a warehousing and distribution point for emergency food, either donated or purchased, for area service agencies that help feed food insecure families and individuals.

    The distribution will be held in the Memorial Building located at 200 E. 7th Street.

    The Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico will host a Special Distribution from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on MONDAY, July 28, 2014.
