    Event Description:
    On Friday Nov. 21 at 1:30 p.m. there will be a dedication of a New Mexico Historic Roadside Marker commemorating the Tolar train explosion just west of Tolar on U.S. 84. Prior to the ceremony an enchilada lunch will be served at noon at the Taiban Fire Station. Donations for the lunch will go to the Taiban Fire Department. The dedication is timed with the 70th anniversary of the explosion of a munitions train that virtually wiped the small Roosevelt County town off the map.

    U.S. Hwy. 84 just west of Tolar.
