PORTALES, NM—The Roosevelt County Community Development Corporation (RCCDC) welcomes the announcement of Invenergy LLC’s wind farm to be developed in south Roosevelt County and then transferred to Xcel Energy. Several area charities and government organizations are teaming up to host a Veteran’s Resource Day at Roy Walker Recreation Center from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. on November 17. The event will offer services including education on veteran benefits, counseling, employment, housing health care and more. The 2017 Little Miss Merry Christmas candidates have been announced by the Ambassadors of the Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce.
