Free Drinking Water Well Testing Available to Roosevelt County Residents
Dear Roosevelt County Commissioners and County Manager:
As part of our ongoing efforts to better understand PFAS in our environment and be able to take appropriate action to protect human health and the environment; the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) is offering free drinking water well testing to residents of Roosevelt County.
In 2020 the New Mexico legislature appropriated the funding to NMED in order to provide this free well testing opportunity in 2021. Samples will be collected starting in mid-March and continuing through May of this year.
Please see the attached flyer for details and please forward this information to residents throughout Roosevelt County so that they are able to take advantage of this opportunity for free well testing.
