• RCCDC selects Lucero as new Executive Director

    PORTALES, NM – The Roosevelt County Community Development Corporation (RCCDC) is pleased to announce that it has hired Jim Lucero of Portales, New Mexico as the new Executive Director for the Roosevelt County Community Development Corporation (RCCDC).

    Board President Randy Knudson stated: “Our Board recently learned that our current Executive Director William (Bill) Hendrickson was returning back to his former residence in Las Vegas, New Mexico, and we began an immediate search for a new Executive Director and we were happy to select Mr. Jim Lucero as our new Executive Director.”
     
    Knudson added: “We started our search for a new Director before the corona virus crisis caused a shut down, and we are very happy to have Jim take over to help our Board, the City of Portales, Roosevelt County and our citizens deal with the corona virus and to learn about possible grants and other economic assistance that might be available to help us through these difficult times.  Our Board of Directors, and I were very sad to see Bill Hendrickson leave but we are very excited to have Jim take his place.  Bill Hendrickson did a wonderful job for our community and we want to thank him very much for his excellent work.  We are looking forward to having Jim provide great economic direction and advice to us in these difficult times.

    The mission of the RCCDC is to expand and encourage the development of new economic opportunities, assist and grow existing businesses and industries and enhance the quality of life for citizens of Portales and Roosevelt County.  During these times, we hope to also be able to provide guidance and assistance to keep our businesses functioning and to assist citizens as we are able to.  We believe that Jim and his wife Christi are a perfect fit for our community as they are well known and very well liked.  Jim brings years of business experience to our organization and we are very excited to have him on board. Please help us welcome Jim to his new position as Executive Director of the RCCDC.”
