    Message from Roosevelt General Hospital:

With the evolving news regarding COVID-19, we wanted to inform you that patient health and safety is a top priority for Roosevelt General Hospital and Clinics. We are diligently following updates from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), New Mexico Department of Health, and local government agencies regarding as the come out and are implementing new procedures and protocols as recommended.

RGH has always practiced excellent infection control procedures and deep cleaning of equipment and space between each use.  During this time we are increasing the frequency and extent of these cleanings.  RGH follows all rules and regulations to ensure that all staff are trained on the prevention and development and transmission of infection.  All personnel are oriented to the infection control policy at hire and annually.  As the situation evolves, expect to see changes with policies, procedures and services offered.  We appreciate your understanding in advance.

Although we are actively responding to this public health issue, we are still working diligently to provide you with the best care possible. Our staff is doing an incredible job remaining calm, staying positive and keeping up normal daily routines as much as possible so our patients can feel safe and focused on their goals.  Our hospital and clinic remains open and available to provide the best care possible for your health needs.

If you are concerned about symptoms or possible exposure to COVID-19, please stay home and contact your health care provider or call RGH Clinic at 575-356-6652 or 575-359-1800 as we have very special precautions in place for those specific patients.  During this time if you or a family member is sick and needs to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we encourage you to do so for safety of our entire community.  It’s also very important that if you feel you have COVID symptoms or may have been in contact with an infected person—please call PRIOR to coming to the hospital, clinic or emergency room so precautions to protect other patients and staff can be initiated.   You will be screened over the phone and will be given instructions on what to do next.

Again, thank you for helping us to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and for your patience and understanding.

    Sincerely,

    RGH Administration/Staff
