Rotary Miniature-golf Tourney to benefit Food Bank's Backpack Program
Clovis Rotary, Food Bank to ‘putt’ hunger away
The Clovis Rotary Club will host a miniature golf tournament on Saturday Sept. 22 at Casel-Land Fun Center in Clovis to benefit Clovis Rotary Service Projects and the Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico. Funds donated to the Food Bank will go directly to its Food for Kids Backpack program which provides weekend food to elementary students.
Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and a shotgun start will take place at 10 a.m. Lunch will be provided at noon followed by a hole-in-one competition. The tournament will host four-player teams with an entrance fee of $200 per team. Hole sponsorships are available for $50 or $100. Families, friends and businesses are encouraged to register teams for a friendly competition.

In its 35 the year, the Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico distributes over 1 million pounds of food each year through its programs and partner agencies in Curry, Roosevelt, DeBaca, Quay, and Guadalupe Counties.
