Open Water Scuba Course - ENMU will be offering an Open Water class, which will earn students a lifetime certification as a scuba diver through the Professional Association of Dive instructors (PADI). The class will consist of a weekend of pool and classroom instruction followed later by a weekend of open water training. Equipment for the classroom and pool sessions is provided. Enrollment: minimum 5, maximum 12
When: Oct. 19-21 (Portales classroom & pool portion) & Nov. 3-4 (Santa Rosa, NM open water portion) Oct 19 meets 5:30-10 p.m.; Oct 20 meets 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Oct 21 meets 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.; Nov 3 meets 12 – 5 p.m.; Nov 4 meets 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Where: ENMU Art and Anthropology, Room 159 and the ENMU Natatorium.
Fee: $100 at registration. Additional fees: $300 open water fee plus $60 book fee (only one book required per family), paid directly to instructor at the first class.
Ages: 10 years and older (minors will need parental consent)
