    Event Description:
    Dr. Giallongo is an Assistant Professor of Music at ENMU.  He holds a B.M. in Vocal Performance from Gettysburg College, an M.M. in Vocal Performance from Temple University, an M.M. in Vocal Pedagogy from Colorado State University, postgraduate work at the University of North Texas, and a D.M.A from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where he was a student of William McGraw.
    Matt has a great passion for contemporary American and 20th-century French music. He has worked with many living composers, such as Libby Larsen, William Bolcom, Lori Laitman, Kile Smith, and Tom Cipullo. He has a particular interest in the music of the latter. Dr. Giallongo's scholarly pursuits focus on comparative vocal pedagogy, trying to clarify the methods in French vocal pedagogy during the turn of the 20th century. He has recently finished a translation of Jules Leforts Methode de chant. He is a sought-after guest lecturer on the subject.
